Privacy

If you create an Alite account, we hold the email address you sign up with and the authentication records that go with it. That is what lets one account work across every Alite product.

Inside a product, we hold what you put there — a trip, a budget, a split bill — because that is the product doing its job.

On this website, we collect usage statistics through Google Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, and the kind of device used. No account is required to browse, and browsing does not create one.

To run the products you are using, to keep your account secure, and to understand which parts of this site are useful. Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process your information only on an applicable legal basis. Nothing else.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Alite uses Supabase to securely store account information and provide the authentication that connects your Alite account across products. Each product stores the information you create there in its own database.

Access is restricted to what is needed to operate the service, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information in transit and at rest. Because some of our service providers operate internationally, information may be processed outside the country where you live.

We keep account and product data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: Supabase for accounts and storage, Vercel for hosting, and Google Analytics for website statistics.

Each is used for that purpose alone. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. Other disclosures are limited to what is needed to provide the service, comply with the law, or protect Alite and its users.

You can ask for a copy of the personal data attached to your account, ask us to correct it, export it, or ask us to delete it and the account with it. Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights over how your information is used.

You can browse this site without an account. Analytics can be blocked with standard browser settings or extensions, and blocking Analytics does not prevent you from using the site.

If what we collect or why it changes, this page changes with it, and the date above moves. We will not make a material change quietly.
